RUBITECH HEATING IN THE WINNER'S CIRCLE!
Rubitech receives international recognition with prestigious award from the OEA and the VAR.Rubitech Heating’s CONSIST RE Heat Exchanger has been awarded a prestigious prize, together with other award winners such as e.g. BMW. The competition was organized by the Organization of European aluminium Refiners and Remelters (OAE) and the Association of the aluminium Recycling Industry (VAR) in collaboration with the Association of German Pressure Die Casting Works and the Expert Committee for pressure Die Casting. Its challenge to contestants: demonstrate unrivaled quality mastery of aluminium die casting techniques and its application to the recycled aluminium industry.
A highly qualified panel of judges from research and practice reviewed the competition entries based on casting quality, innovation, suitability of construction, and how the application influences recycled aluminium. Only die casted products currently in series production with unaltered and uncoated finishes were qualified for the competition in order to ensure that attention was paid to the quality of the die casting itself.
Rubitech Group’s managing director, Jan Spiker, commented that “this most recent award is yet another recognition of how our Friction Stir Welding(FSW) technology can be successfully applied to the demanding aluminum die cast industry.”
According to the jury, Rubitech Heating was not only able to achieve significant design improvements thanks to the innovative welding process, but did so whilst retaining a superb quality die casted construction requiring little or no additional machining or finishing. CONSIST RE’s modular die cast design offers substantial material and cost savings while improving overall boiler efficiency.
