Friction stir welding

Joining two components without melting or adding material

Rubitech is one of the inventors of the friction welding process applied on aluminium high-pressure diecasting. By using a rotating tool that is plunged into the interface between two workpieces, the generated heat will soften the pieces allowing them to be mechanically mixed without reaching a molten state. This process gives stronger, high-integrity bonds with minimal distortion and superior mechanical properties compared to traditional welding.
