From box to assembly line: Turnkey precision for premium kitchen appliances
At a glance: The project scope
- Industry: Premium Consumer Appliances
- Component complexity: 2 critical, high-visibility "A-surface" components.
- The core challenge: Consolidating a fragmented, multi-vendor supply chain into a single turnkey solution while maintaining the flawless aesthetics required by a luxury brand.
- The Rubitech solution: * Fully integrated production at our Romanian (RTR) facility using 100% recycled aluminium.
- In-house CNC machining, specialized Tampon printing for the brand logo, and custom protective packaging.
- A robust risk mitigation strategy featuring redundant tooling to guarantee 100% business continuity.
The cost of complexity
A premier European producer of professional-grade kitchen appliances required two critical components for their flagship kitchen mixer. In the premium appliance market, expectations are exceptionally high. Surface finish, tactile feel, and "out-of-the-box" readiness are non-negotiable factors that directly influence the consumer's perception of luxury and quality.
Historically, our client had to manage multible sub-contractors to get just two critical components ready. They were coordinating casters, machinists, specialized printers, and logistics companies. It was an administrative headache that left too much room for delays and quality hiccups. They didn't just need a manufacturer; they needed a single point of accountability who could hand them a finished, "plug-and-play" component directly to their production line.
Sustainable, integrated manufacturing
We brought the entire lifecycle of the part under one roof at our RTR facility in Romania. And because the modern European consumer demands sustainability alongside luxury, we transition the parts to 100% recycled aluminium. This simple but powerful switch allowed the client to significantly slash the carbon footprint of their flagship product without compromising on strength or aesthetic quality.
The manufacturing process itself is a masterclass in tight integration. High-pressure die casting is immediately followed by automated trimming and precision shotblasting. The parts then undergo high-precision CNC machining to micron-level tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit within the mixer’s high-speed motor housing.
Instead of shipping the raw parts to a third party for branding, we apply the customer’s logo using specialized Tampon printing directly at our RTR facility. Following a final, rigorous quality inspection, each component is individually wrapped in custom foam packaging to prevent even the most microscopic scratches during transit.
Protecting the production Line
When you are the sole supplier for a flagship product, assembly downtime is simply not an option. We knew we had to build a supply chain that was practically bulletproof.
To guarantee business continuity, we invested in multiple sets of redundant moulds and qualified the production process across several die-casting machines. If a machine needs unexpected maintenance, another takes over instantly. The client’s production line never skips a beat.
By collapsing four vendors into one, we gave the procurement team their time back. And because of our, dual-stage quality checks, the assembly workers on the factory floor don't even need to inspect the parts. They just open the box, lift out the pristine component, and put it straight onto the mixer.
