Rubitech Intenz LED High Bays illuminate the Kornelis Caps & Closures factory 24/7
Kornelis Caps & Closures has been a well-known name in Steenwijk (the Netherlands) for more than 80 years. The company makes caps and closures, mainly for the food industry. The factory runs 24/7, so an efficient and reliable process is essential. Now, in 2021, the company is making major investments to become an Industry 4.0 company: a company where all machines are connected and operators are concerned with the quality of the product instead of the logistics. The right lighting makes an important contribution to this.
Intenz LED lighting approaches daylight
Efficiency and reliability are very important factors in a factory where the production process continues 24/7. The conditions in the workplace must be pleasant and the right lighting makes a world of difference. An environment is created in the factory that approximates normal daylight as much as possible in order to guarantee safety in the workplace and the quality of the products. The lighting should be imperceptibly present. Another factor in production is temperature control. The heat transfer of the luminaires must not be too high in order to avoid strong temperature fluctuations.
Energy savings through motion sensors
We were commissioned for this project for Kornelis Caps & Closures and supplied the Intenz LED High Bays. The production area, mold factory and warehouse are now equipped with more than 100 Intenz High Bays. Each room has its own lighting plan. The lighting is not continuously on in the warehouse and mold factory, that is why the highbays in these areas have motion sensors. The lighting only shines when it is needed and this saves a lot of energy.
Temperature control with the Intenz LED High Bays
The lighting in the factory is on 24/7. Failure is not an option and that is why the Intenz Output High Bays are installed in the factory. The Intenz Output range has a lifespan of 100,000 hours and a 10-year warranty, which is made possible by the developed CoolheartTM technology. The CoolheartTM technology developed by Rubitech ensures that the core of the High Bay and the LEDs remain cool. This ensures that the armature does not radiate a lot of heat and that the High Bay has a long life.
The LED High Bays were installed by Installatiebedrijf Vredenburg in Steenwijk and have been in use for some time now. The feedback of the machine operators, technical service and logistics are very positive. The lighting works perfectly!
